Estimate from OpenBeta grade & style counts only — approach, base, and shade are not in OpenBeta. Not a safety rating: check the specific wall's approach, base, and current access before bringing a small child.
Before you go — permits & chalk
No separate climbing permit is needed to climb in Rifle Mountain Park — it's a City of Rifle fee area, so every vehicle needs a day pass: $10/day per vehicle. New routes are bolted only through a permitting process with the Rifle Climbers Coalition, and camping is $20/night, separate from the day pass.
Rifle is hands down the best limestone sport climbing destination in the US. Its convenient roadside crags, picturesque stream and thought provoking movement make it the one of a kind world class destination that it is.
